I represent clients who are involved in the provision of health care services, both nonprofit and for-profit. My clients include facilities; practitioners of all types and their practice entities; health systems; networks of providers and other joint venture organizations; and payment entities such as health maintenance organizations. I also represent companies that provide various types of management and other administrative services to health care providers. My health law practice has a transactional focus, forming entities and negotiating agreements to most effectively meet clients’ strategic goals without undue business or legal risks. Since health care providers are heavily regulated at both federal and state levels, the structure of their business arrangements is frequently driven by regulatory concerns, either to avoid legal violations or to take advantage of opportunities created by the regulatory complexities.
